Go for the ice caves.
Some years the ice is thick enough to see the ice caves. Park at Meyers Beach and take a look! It's about a mile hike on ice so be prepared for that. There are also a ton of people on weekends.
This was a great place to paddle! I only had a few hours, and it was worth every minute.
One of my favorite National parks to visit. Very tranquil listening to the waves washing on shore as you drift off to sleep while camping lakeside on one of the many campsites located on the water. Saw the Northern lights. Sea caves are beyond words. A must see. Stunning historic light houses. Staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Plan for weather to change without notice if you're on the lake. Should have taken a bigger boat but enjoyed the wild waves nevertheless.

Een prachtig stuk natuur om te wandelen. Heen en terug is ongeveer 5,5 km. De dagen ervoor had het veel geregend hierdoor was het laatste stuk erg modderig. Maar het uitzicht is prachtig. Het eerste stuk is een pad gecreëerd door middel met vlonders.
