I have chartered with these folk now since 2004 and they compare favorably with the best that I have experienced anywhere in the Caribbean, Baja, Majorca, the Apostle Islands,Turkey and the Australian Great Barrier Reef.
Some of the others advertise "only boats younger than 5 years" but the presence of fresh water, the relatively short sailing season and the excellent state of maintenance here at Sailboats Inc would negate any age deficiency. Their boats, gear, electronics and personal service are world-class.

While I rarely rate vendors, I have to say that all my experiences with Sailboats Inc. have been excellent. This summer I will be doing my 40th rental through them (if you count the 3 day certification class back in 2000). Being in Bayfield is a definite plus as you can walk to stores and restaurants on your first and last rental days.
While I cannot rate the sailing experience I can say that they lent me for free a self-inflating life jacket for a 4 day camping/boating trip in the Apostles when one of my self-inflating jackets went off and could not find a rearming kit.
Kudos to the staff at sailboat inc for lending me the life jacket, much appreciated!
